So much to do
We've been having a wonderful summer. We went to Jamestown a couple of weeks ago to take pictures and do research for book 4, The Mysterious Jamestown Suitcase. The new visitors' center and museum for relics are fascinating. Both are very worthwhile.
The, while grandchildren were here last week we had many nature adventures. We went on a blackberry walk. It's not peak blackberry season yet, but we found plenty to eat. Then we rescued a box turtle crossing the road near our house. I thought it would be interesting to let the girls see it walk away in the woods, so I held it in the van. Don't do it. The turtle peed all over everything. We released it safely, but what a mess! We have wrens apparently nesting in one of our hanging baskets on the porch, and another nest of bluebirds. Exciting times in the animal kingdome.
