Trouble in Contrary Woods

The sixth book in the Bailey Fish Adventures is ready to go to the reviewers. Many reviewers want us to send them "bound galleys" instead of the finished book so they can read the book before it is released to the public. The bound galleys often look like the real book, but we may still find errors that need to be corrected before it goes to press. Book 6 is titled Trouble in Contrary Woods. In it, Bailey's cousin Duck arrives. He's a city boy who doesn't like country living, even for two weeks. He's afraid of bugs and not happy that Sugar has dialup instead of hi-speed Internet.
Although Duck seems bored with Bailey's activities and her friends, it turns out that he likes to invent things. This is handy because the Keswick twins are puzzled by trouble in the woods, and mysterious messages left on a stump. They enlist Duck's help in designing a trap to catch the "monster."
Meanwhile, Bailey learns about President Thomas Jefferson's favorite foods and his inventive mind. She and her grandmother learn more him when they visit his home, Monticello.

Great news for No Sisters Sisters Club and Wild Women

Bailey and Sugar and I are celebrating two wonderful things that happened today. First, we found out that book 2 in the Bailey Fish Adventure series is a finalist in the Florida Publishers Associations book awards. It will receive at least silver, and hopefully gold when the awards are announced in Florida. If you are an author or publisher, consider joining this terrific organization and attending seminars. You don't have to live in Florida to be a member.

And secondly, when we opened the Rappahannock Coop's Cooperative Living magazine today--the August issue, we discovered a terrificl review of "The Wild Women of Lake Anna," and a mention of the the series. Thank you!
